The title says it all. If you haven’t already, you have to check out Sarabeth’s in Tribeca. This charming and sophisticated restaurant has some of the best brunch I’ve ever had and I owe it all to my friend for taking me there.
The menu has a glorious array of foods with everything from eggs benedict to waffles and pancakes to homemade donuts–talk about divine. My favorite meal is breakfast–I could eat it all day everyday–so naturally it was hard for me to decide what I wanted.
After several minutes of pondering I finally decided to go with pumpkin pancakes, bottomless coffee, a homemade strawberry donut and pork and apricot sausage. Pure bliss.
The pancakes had the perfect amount of fluff and some even had a dough like consistency to them. Needless to say, I couldn’t get enough. The pumpkin flavor combined with maple syrup and butter was incredible. The pork sausages were flavorful and juicy and together with the apricot jam was insane. And not to forget the homemade strawberry donut. It was fluffy and sugary and in the center was the most delicious strawberry jam. When you took a bite you got the combination of all the trifecta — dough, sugar, and jam.
If you love brunch, anything pumpkin, or anything fried and coated with sugar (like me) you need to check this palce out. I’ll definitely be back this weekend–and just maybe every weekend after that so I can try everything off the menu. If you go, let me know what you decide to try! But until next time, keep eating!
